How telling our silenced stories can change the world is indeed a remarkable thing that each person can do to reduce the burden they have on their shoulders or in their lives.Hallward is a living testimony of that statement because she went through the same thing. Not talking about your troubles will only make thing worst for you as you are scared to share it and not only that but who you want to share it with as well. With that said,Hallward suggested “ Shame is at the heart of depression, this feeling of unworthiness. It’s at the heart of addiction, a feeling that is so painful, this feeling of being so bad about me I have to anesthetize it with a substance. It’s also at the heart of suicide”. As horrific as it may sound, that was the truth and many people may or maynot agree with it. According to Hallward “ researcher for the University of Texas in austin, has studied the way in which when we tell silent stories, our health measurably improves and you can follow that for a year.” Hallward also stated that “ Immune system functions improves, wound healing improves and visits to the ER are minimized.”
